Strong white braided nylon cord for repairing compatible vertical and Venetian blind mechanisms.

For vertical blinds, it can replace the operating cord that draws the slats across the window. For compatible Venetian blinds, it can be used as replacement lift cord.

The cord is supplied as one continuous cut length in your selected quantity.

Choose the correct length

The selected option is the total cut length of cord supplied.

The amount required depends on the blind’s width, drop and internal cord route. Where possible, remove and measure the complete existing cord. Order slightly more than your estimate to allow for threading, adjustment and tying.

Check compatibility

Blind mechanisms use different cord diameters. Check that your existing mechanism accepts approximately 2mm cord before ordering.

Cord that is too thick can jam inside the mechanism, while cord that is too thin might not grip or operate correctly.

If you are uncertain, send us a clear photograph of your existing cord beside a ruler.

Fitting advice

Before removing the existing cord, photograph its complete route through the blind mechanism. Note the position of every pulley, guide and fixing point.

Thread the replacement cord along the same route and test the mechanism slowly before reinstalling the blind. Different systems use different routing arrangements, so professional assistance may be required.
