How to Measure Replacement Vertical Blind Slats
Measuring Your Replacement Slats Is Easy
If you already have vertical blinds and simply want to replace the fabric slats, you only need one measurement. Follow the steps below to make sure your new slats are made to the correct length.
Remove an Existing Slat
Carefully unclip one of your existing vertical blind slats from the headrail. Choose a slat that is hanging straight and has not been stretched, creased or damaged.
Lay the Slat Flat
Lay the slat on a clean, flat surface and gently straighten it out. Make sure the fabric is lying completely flat and is not folded, twisted or stretched before taking your measurement.
Measure the Fabric Length
Using a tape measure, measure from the very top edge of the fabric to the very bottom edge of the fabric. Take the measurement as accurately as possible and use this finished fabric length when placing your order.
IMPORTANT — MEASURE THE FABRIC ONLY
Measure from the very top edge of the fabric to the very bottom edge of the fabric.
Do not include the plastic top hanger, bottom weight or headrail in your measurement.

89mm or 127mm?
Not sure which width you need? Measure straight across the width of one existing slat. Most vertical blinds use either 89mm (3.5") or 127mm (5") slats.
