Compatibility
This mechanism is designed for a compatible 32mm roller-blind tube.
Please measure the outside diameter of your existing tube before ordering. Tube sizes and internal profiles can vary between manufacturers, so a 32mm outside measurement alone does not always guarantee compatibility.
This kit is intended for roller blinds only. It is not suitable for vertical blinds.
If you are unsure, send us:
-
A photograph of the end of your roller tube
-
A photograph of your existing mechanism
-
The outside diameter of the tube
We will be happy to help you check before ordering.
How to measure your roller tube
-
Remove the blind from its brackets.
-
Carefully remove the existing mechanism.
-
Measure straight across the outside of the metal tube.
-
Check that the tube measures approximately 32mm in diameter.
-
Compare the tube’s internal profile with the mechanism shown in our photographs.
Do not measure around the circumference of the tube.
Installation
Insert the control mechanism into one end of the roller tube and the idle-end pin into the opposite end. Install the brackets securely in the required top-fix or face-fix position, then place the assembled blind into the brackets.
The control mechanism can normally be positioned on either the left or right side of the blind.
Always ensure the brackets are securely attached to a suitable surface.
Child-safety information
Looped blind chains must be securely restrained and kept out of the reach of children.
Fit an appropriate chain-tensioning safety device and follow the blind manufacturer’s installation instructions. If a suitable safety device is not already fitted, one must be purchased separately.
Please note
Compatibility is the customer’s responsibility. Examine the product photographs and measure your tube before ordering. If your existing system differs from the parts shown, please contact us for assistance before purchasing.
